As a young
art student you have to make the decision to go forward. There
in the far distance one finds his destination. History tells
you that the future needs another ...ism or the next abstract
style or better photorealism, or, or..
I decided to
be bound backwards and I left behind the double sided perspective.
So I stepped with my left foot into folk art. I went ethnic and
the next right step backwards went into fairytale country.
From there by
going left and right I become Baroque, Renaissance, Gothic and
Romanesque. I arrived at the court of Emperor Otto the Great
and applied for the just vacant post of the court artist.
In the monasteries
of that time I found the stories of Virgilius and I started to
draw and paint the shepherd - and country life of the Golden
Age of Emperor Augustus. |
